Having taught literature for many years and seen students struggle to enjoy and understand poetry, I see a need for poetry that is accessible to a wider audience.

Having listened to many bland and predictable guided meditations in my life, I also see a need for guided meditations that inspire the listener.

The lyrical meditations shared here are hybrid forms that aim to meet both of these needs.

Through close observation and appreciation of phenomena in the natural world, they attempt to pull contemporary humans out of the alienation, anxiety, depression, self-absorption, and loneliness that so often plagues our perspectives and moods.
